Event description
Learn how to recycle right at the 2021 Zero Waste Festival in Canberra

About this event

COVID-19 UPDATE: Due to ongoing lockdowns in Canberra, the Zero Waste Festival has been postponed to Saturday 30 April, 2022. The festival will still be held at Kambri, and will still feature the same great lineup of workshops and speakers.

Putting our bins out on bin night is only a small part of the complex story that is recycling. Sometimes it’s what we don’t put in the bins that is even more important.

Find out what happens to recycling in Canberra, the common mistakes people make and learn some tips to help make sure you get it right. Bring your tricky questions along and become a waste wise guru.

This workshop will be run by Leanne van der Merwe  from the ACT NoWaste Recycling Discovery Hub team who has spent the last two years educating Canberrans about recycling and waste.  As a former teacher, she is committed to spreading the good news about the strategies and resources provided by the ACT Government to Recycle Right.

This workshop is part of the Zero Waste Festival 2021 organised by Zero Waste Revolution. Head to our main event page to see the rest of the fantastic festival program.
