The City of Adelaide, with the support of Gouger Street Traders Association and Chinatown Adelaide Association, is bringing to you 'Yum Cha on Gouger' on Sunday 7 March 2021 (long weekend).
There are two session times available: 11am to 1pm or 1:30pm to 3:30pm
Tickets are $80 (admits 2 people/$40 per person) – plus booking fee
Yum Cha on Gouger is an outdoor long lunch style event where you can experience the delicious flavours of Gouger Street plus traditional Chinese Ehru performances and entertainment from Emily Schoof and LENI.
Four individual menus have been curated for the event by Ding Hao, Star House, China Chilli and Chao Chow restaurants. Decide on your favourite menu (listed below), book the corresponding ticket and enjoy all the flavours that Gouger Street has to offer.
Seating
The event will take place outdoors on Gouger Street near Victoria Square / Tarntanyangga (between Mill St and Market St). Guests will be seated in the zone of their selected menu/restaurant. If guests wish to be seated with other Yum Cha on Gouger ticketholders, we suggest ensuring that both parties choose the same menu and arrive at the event together. Please note if you purchase 2 tickets (4 people) you will be allocated a table for 4 (no shared tables).
Tickets
Traditionally, Yum Cha is meant to be enjoyed in pairs and groups. To reflect the community spirit of Yum Cha and this event, tickets will be sold in pairs and dishes will be served between 2 (1 ticket for 2 people). The maximum group size is a table of 8 (4 tickets). Tickets are $80 (admits 2 people/$40 per person) and include food, water and Chinese tea. Other beverages and alcohol may be purchased on the day directly from the restaurant.
*Please note: menus are designed to reflect authentic Yum Cha cuisine and will not be alterable to dietary requirements. Some dishes may be vegetarian, but specific diets such as gluten free, nut free etc, will not be considered.
