BRISBANE: Following our sold out event in July, YSPN brings to you 'The Great Debate' with Gurmesh Singh, Member of the NSW Parliament, and Taj Pabari, one of Australia’s youngest and most successful social entrepreneurs.

Join us on 28 October for an unforgettable evening where you will witness our two distinguished speakers debate and discuss pertinent issues relevant to the young Australian Indian population.

Speakers:

Gurmesh Singh is a member of the New South Wales Legislative Assembly, representing Coffs Harbour for the Nationals. He is a third-generation Coffs local and has worked in various industries from digital marketing to design, as well as agriculture. He is dedicated to ensuring small industries aren’t forgotten and there is less red tape so such businesses can thrive. He is a firm believer of diversity and equal representation – in his very own words, there is far more that unites us than divides us. Taj Pabari is one of Australia’s youngest and most successful social entrepreneurs. Taj established Fiftysix Creations, Australasia's Largest Youth Entrepreneurship Provider at the age of fourteen. As of 1 October 2019, Fiftysix Creations has educated 54,963 Australian Students. Fiftysix Creations run workshops for schools teaching young people as young as five all the way to eighteen about the world of business, entrepreneurship and financial literacy. The organisation has partnered with Westpac, MYOB and the State and Federal Government to deliver it’s workshop programs to regional and remote areas around Australia and New Zealand. Taj’s work and story has been featured by Sunrise, 60 Minutes, The Today Show, National Geographic, ABC, Nickelodeon and CNBC. Accolades collected by Taj and Fiftysix Creations include being named the 2017 Young Australian of the Year for Queensland, The Australian Young Innovator of the Year and Winner of Westpac's Top 20 Businesses of Tomorrow.
