Youth Mentoring Information Session
Uniting Vic.Tas, Centre for Participation and Wimmera Southern Mallee LLEN are joining forces to highlight the need for more youth mentors.
About this event
Uniting Vic.Tas, Centre for Participation and Wimmera Southern Mallee LLEN are joining forces to highlight the need for more youth mentors throughout March Mentoring Month.
The theme this year is #hatsofftomentors and the organisations are appealing to people to consider volunteering and filling the hat of a youth mentor.
The information sessions will provide prospective mentors and the broader community an overview of youth mentoring in the Wimmera Southern Mallee region, plus highlight the 3 current mentoring programs that support young people in Out of Home Care Better Futures, Mates Mentoring and L2P Learning Drive Mentor programs
Youth Mentors can come from all walks of life, have a variety of skills and abilities, and are aged 18 or over. If you are kind, non-judgmental, flexible, patient, reliable and most importantly willing to support a young person and make a difference in their life, then youth mentoring may be for you.
With the support of Holy Trinity Lutheran College VCAL students , 2 short information sessions are being held at The Station in Horsham on Friday 26th March 2021.
12:30pm - light lunch provided.
5:30pm - finger food available.
