Description

The Youth Mental Health First Aid Course is 14 hours and runs over 2 days and provides insight into Youth Mental Health. This course teaches adults how to assist adolescents who are developing a mental health problem or in a mental health crisis. Course participants learn about adolescent development, the signs and symptoms of the common and disabling mental health problems in young people (including depression, anxiety, eating disorders, and substance use), where and how to get help when a young person is developing a mental illness, and how to provide first aid in a crisis situation such as non-suicidal self injury or suicidal thoughts.

This course is the latest edition (4th edition, released in 2017) and is delivered by an accredited and experienced professional trainer.

PLEASE NOTE: this training program is being delivered across 2 days: From 9.00am to 4.30pm on both days. Attendance to both days is required.
