Youth Mental Health First Aid
This is a 2 day course – both days must be attended
Monday 8th May - 9.30am - 4.30pm & Monday 15th May - 9.30am - 4.30pm
The Youth Mental Health First Aid Course is for adults working with adolescents, aged between approximately 12 and 18 years.
This course is particularly suitable for volunteers working with young people in schools and youth services.
Showing adults how to assist adolescents who are developing a mental health problem or in a mental health crisis.
learn about adolescent development, the signs and symptoms of common mental health problems in young people.
where and how to get help when a young person is developing a mental illness,
what sort of help has been shown by research to be effective,
how to provide first aid in a crisis situation.
Morning & afternoon tea provided – BYO Lunch
