Event description

Description

Youth injury (10-24 years) continues to be a serious Public Health issue in Western Australia. In 2012, there were just over 8,500 injury events (hospitalisations and fatalities) for Western Australian youth aged 15-24 years, costing $945 million. Join Know Injury for the Youth Injury Prevention Series of seminars, as we address how to prevent transport injuries, self-harm injuries and alcohol-related injuries. Keynote presentations will be delivered from research, policy and practice perspectives. Each seminar will focus on how research and data can be understood and applied to inform policy and program development and strategies to prevent youth injury in Western Australia. The seminars will also be available via webinar.
