Under the Local Government Act 2020 Victorian councils must now consider and plan for climate change risks as part of their role.

These interactive, live and online training sessions will help Councillors and Executive understand the likely impacts of climate change on council business, assets, services and operations, the vulnerability of their communities and how to address these impacts through existing council planning and organisational processes.

This training has been developed in partnership between the Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning (DELWP), the Northern Alliance for Greenhouse Action (NAGA), RMIT University and Mosaic Lab. It is part of an ongoing program of work run by DELWP to support Victorian councils to adapt to climate change.

You may register for any session suitable to you. We do encourage you to register for the session identified below for the Victorian Greenhouse Alliance that your council is a member of, to facilitate learning from your regional peers.
