Event description
Do you want to know how to succeed as a woman in the tech industry? This 2-weekend virtual camp and additional week workshops is for you!

About this Event

The Young Women Leaders in AI program will develop young women as leaders in AI, not only to address the gender gap in industry teams, but also foster spokespersons to ensure social diversity has a voice as regulation and disruption unfolds in coming years. Our attendees will emerge from the program as ambassadors to take on leadership roles as society and the economy transforms through AI adoption.

The Virtual Camp

The program commences with a 2-weekend virtual bootcamp (9th- 11th and 16th-18th April 2021) and additional optional mid- week workshops and sessions (12th to 15th April 2021). Industry face to face sessions will be also available after the camp in the regions where our participants reside.

The Virtual Camp is designed to teach attendees about building modern machine learnings, entrepreneurship and innovation, and how to succeed as a woman in the tech industry. Throughout the camp, attendees will work within groups to create and pitch an AI-powered product, and engage with industry mentors and representatives to learn about opportunities available to them after the camp.

For more information on the camp, head to womeninai.com.au, and to get in contact with us about the program, please contact us at womeninai.com.au/about#contact.

The 12-month Program

Following the camp, participants will enter a 12-month ambassadorship and mentorship program. Over these 12 months, there will be opportunity to apply for internships or scholarships, attend local meetups, continue a mentee relationship and promote the value of young women leaders in AI. At the end of the 12-months, you will be in a position to move forward with your career in a confident and purposeful direction.

The Terms

You will receive a sponsored place in the program upon registration. This includes all learning and development activities, including the camp.

The program is open to all residents of Australia. While the camp will be held virtually, following program events and mentorship will be available in select major cities based on our mentor and sponsor locations.

For more information head to womeninai.com.au, and to get in contact with us about the program. Should you wish to know more, please feel free to contact us at womeninai.com.au/about
