Friends Who Are Going
Event description

Description

The aim of this working group is to build knowledge and shared understanding, and take action or build advocacy on this issue. This is the second working group, and we aim to have people there that can start unravelling the challenges and building a picture on how we can move forward.

We know that there a number of issues, including: young people not being offered interpreters when required or requested; young people being used as informal interpreters for friends and family, when it is not approproate; reluctance of medical personnel to use interpreters; and a lack of awareness by the community of interpretting services.

We will provide tea and coffee. Parking is available on Richmond Street next to the Leederville TAFE.
