MusicNT will be launching our first ever Strategic Plan for NT Women in Music, You Gotta See It To Be It, as part of celebrating International Women's Day at The Darwin Railway Club on Sunday March 14 from 4pm, featuring performances by local, female identified artists.
The plan is the result of consultations conducted throughout September and October last year which showed that we have a way to go to reach gender parity across the NT music industry. Input so far has also revealed plenty of ideas for how to achieve this!
Our vision is for the strategy to become a living document which is reported against annually to track progress. It includes initiatives which are directly relevant to our role as peak, along with some which require support from other industry members.
MusicNT thanks the NT Office of Gender Equity and Diversity in supporting us to stage physical Launches. Most of all, we thank all those who contributed to the consultations which have largely shaped this Strategy.
