Monday and Thursday yoga sessions
You’ll be recharged after a dose of yoga at Urban Yoga. It’s an opportunity to become invigorated in body, clarified in mind and nourished in being. Every yoga session is followed by a vege-licious meal and a mouth-watering dessert so there’s no need to cook or wash dishes afterwards!
Monday style: Vinyasa Flow
Teacher: Rosy Waldron
Originally from a small town near Vancouver Canada, Rosy has a background in Personal Training, Reiki, Massage Therapy and Group fitness. She discovered yoga by attending classes in 2003. With many different interests, yoga is one that has continued to grow and shape Rosy’s life. She completed her teacher training diploma in the style of Power Vinyasa at the Australian Yoga Academy in 2012 and pursued a 300-hour Vinyasa Flow and Yin training course in Goa, India in early 2015. She has also studied Yin Yoga with Jennifer Crescenzo in Melbourne. In her spare time, Rosy also practices meditation and enjoys travel, the outdoors and music / kirtan. She believes yoga is not about striving for perfection in a given pose but rather as a tool for learning contentment in the present moment.
Thursday style: Beginner's Iyengar
Tirthapada developed an interest in yoga and spirituality in 2005 while at uni in Geelong. There he enrolled in Iyengar yoga courses and began practicing on his own. He loves the opportunity to share yoga practice with you- using the body to access higher levels of awareness and fulfillment. He conducts classes at a slower pace, giving you the opportunity to take a step back from life's pressures and develop introspection while still being challenging enough to promote personal growth.
