Description

Hatha yoga began as a practice reserved strictly for men, passed down from teacher to pupil as a closely guarded secret. Its original texts were written for men by men and so naturally, its practices were designed for the male body. Today, this once exclusively male tradition is now largely perpetuated by women, yet continues to be practiced through this male perspective.

Discover a womb-conscious approach to yoga that recognizes and honors women’s cyclical nature. An approach aimed to empower women to listen to the wisdom of their bodies and honor our changing yet predictable needs.

At the core of this workshop will be the development of a respectful responsiveness to the cyclical changes we experience as women, and how our yoga practice can be reflective of this.

This 3 hour informative workshop will include:

  • The language of the 4 phases of your Menstrual Cycle and how to work with your hormones to experience greater vitality, balance and creative power.

  • Nurturing sequences and accessible alternatives to support you throughout each phase of your monthly cycle.

  • Meditation and Pranayama practices to reconnect your awareness to your womb-space as the seat of your inner wisdom.
