You are invited to Yoga For Confident Birth – Elemental Immersion Series a carefully curated series of four sessions, exploring prenatal yoga practices and information to support confident birth. The four sessions are inspired by the natural elements of Earth, Air, Water and Fire.

Each element aligns ancient practices of yoga, meditation, sound and accessible mantra suitable throughout the journey of pregnancy and birth. Each session includes 75mins of prenatal yoga practices followed by 30 mins of open discussion with selected pre, peri or post-natal specialists and 15 mins for social organic tea/raw treats.

The specialists confirmed to host discussions are pre/post-natal Wellness Coach, Doula, Placenta Encapsulator and Midwife with more information to follow via our Facebook community group – Yoga For Confident Birth.

Yoga for Confident Birth creates a warm, inclusive and intimate space for you:

  • To reduce stress, cultivate self-care and wellbeing whilst adjusting to physical, hormonal and emotional changes

  • Explore a holistic yoga practice loving designed for pregnant women to connect with their baby and with other mothers to be 


  • Understand the role of breath, movement and meditation in embracing the intensity of birth 


  • Develop embodiment, flexibility and stamina needed for pregnancy and birth 


  • Gain insights on natural birthing principles and normal physiological birth

  • Access pre, peri and post-natal information that supports conscious choices

  • Invitation to Yoga for Confident Birth Facebook community group with all other attendees for ongoing discussion, information and specialist recommendations in support of your journey into and through motherhood

Earth Immersion: Saturday 1st June 2019 2-4pm

Inspired by Earth, enjoy being supported into safe yoga practices and tips for prenatal yoga at home. Working with the elemental energies of Earth, grounding body and mind through yoga nidra meditation for prioritizing self-care both pre and post pregnancy.

5th Element Wellness Coach and Founder of Conscious Creation Project, Bianca Sturrman will host discussion circle on wellness and self-care during pregnancy. She will also share her own journey of consciously and mindfully preparing for motherhood along with tools, techniques and hacks for you to take away!

Air Immersion: Saturday 6th July 2019 2-4pm

Embracing the element of Air, discover embodied yogic breathing to calm mind, relax the body and facilitate connection with baby. Unlock the power of breath to release stress, rebalance the nervous system and develop a deeper awareness of the subtle internal changes within.

Experienced paediatric naturopath/nutritionist, Sarah Harris, of Fertile Ground will host discussion circle on how to practically strengthen nutrition and relationships by integrating diet and lifestyle. With over a decade of practice in complementary medicine, Sarah is passionate about supporting families to thrive naturally!

Water Immersion: Saturday 3rd August 2019 2-4pm

Inspired by the fluidity of water element, moving ‘in flow’ tunes awareness into a peaceful and mindful state of being. Explore yoga poses and shapes that can assist management of contraindications, influence the positioning of baby and cultivate reserves within for the uncertainties of birth.

Pepe Robertson, Placenta Encapsulator and experienced Midwife, will host discussion circle on managing expectations and uncertainty moving towards birth. Pepe will share her passion for how proactive preparation alongside working closely with partner, support person/s and others can empower confident birth experiences.

Fire Immersion: Saturday 7th September 2019 2-4pm

Moving into the final weeks before birth, drawing upon the elemental energies of Fire in preparation for the intensity of labour with accessible mantra and sound. Discover yoga practices that assist mind and body leaning into the natural valuable strong sensations of birth - and life!

Mary Giordano, practising Doula and Birth Support specialist, will host discussion circle on setting up your support network (takes a village to raise a child) and planning for practical changes to your life after birth. Mary will share insights on how continuous trusted support in labour often impacts the likelihood of positive birth outcomes for mother and baby.

Single Immersion $80 / All Four Immersions $260

Things to bring:

  • Notebook and pen

  • Eat a light meal about an hour before and bring a snack

  • Comfortable clothes to move around in and BYO eye pillow (if preferred)

What is provided:

  • All yoga mats and props are provided

  • Organic teas and raw treats are provided
