Feeling stressed, anxious or overwhelmed? This gentle 2 hour Yoga For Anxiety Workshop will take you on a journey to soften back into yourself and explore yoga as a tool to calm the nervous system. Relax, sip on your warm herbal tea, nibble on delicious chocolates and try soothing essential oils with this stress-to-bliss workshop. Expect science-based lectures to learn about the nervous system and yin yoga to release deeper into fascia (your secondary sensory organ) - perfect for a tired body and a busy mind. You’ll also be gifted with the Yoga for Anxiety eBook and recommendations for apps, podcasts and books to manage anxiety. Take a deep, sweet breath back, feel your stress levels reduce and notice a refreshing feeling of wellbeing and inner peace. All levels welcome.

WHY DO THIS WORKSHOP

Anxiety is a condition that afflicts more of us than ever before. We live in a world where we're constantly tethered to technology, absorbing information at an unprecedented rate, chronically rest-deprived like never before and flooded with hormones that cause stress, anxiety and burnout. Over time, this can wreak havoc on our minds and bodies leaving us at risk of sleep disorders, high blood pressure, digestive disorders, obesity, autoimmune diseases, adrenal problems, depression and heart disease. But there's a range of strategies we can use to alleviate stress and anxiety and yoga is absolutely one of them.

WHEN TO ARRIVE

Please aim to arrive a minimum of 15 minutes prior to the start time in order to check yourself in at reception and get yourself set up.

ABOUT THE TEACHER

Emma Ceolin is the founder of Yogaventures and Mndfl Project as well as an international Yoga Teacher (ERYT®200, RYT®500, RPYT®, RCYT®, YACEP®, IAYT®) who shares yoga for health, healing and happiness. She's also a blogger, entrepreneur, social media influencer, skydiver, freediver, scuba diver, surfer and vegan. Emma has over 1000 hours of yoga teacher training and experience teaching classes, sold out workshops, retreats and teacher trainings in Australia, United States, Europe and Asia. Emma has taught this workshop 50+ times across Australia, America, Europe, Asia to thousands of students and shares her experience growing up with anxiety, the stress that comes with running 3 business and how she manages day-to-day with practical and accessible yoga techniques. She also guest lectures and teaches for NFP organisations like Yoga Australia and Anxiety Disorders Association of Victoria to name a few. Emma first found yoga as a therapy for anxiety and depression and it set her on a wellness journey that changed her life forever. She's now made it her heart's purpose to share yoga for the mental, emotional and energetic benefits and specialises in yoga for stress, anxiety, depression and trauma. Her self-reflective teachings focus on how yoga feels, rather than how it looks. Each class begins and ends with savasana and Emma aims to hold a safe space for realness, depth, and to transform hardship into spiritual growth. Who is this workshop for?
This workshop is for everyone, of all backgrounds, experiences, size and age. All yoga postures will be practised in a supportive, safe environment and suitable for absolute beginners. Please keep in mind this class is not individually tailored for special needs, pregnancies, pre-existing physical injuries, pain or concerns, and if present you should consult with your physician before commencing.

Is there a minimum age for who can attend?
Children must be at least 13 years old to attend. If under 18 years a parent / guardian must attend with you

What if the event is sold out?
If the event is sold out please add yourself to the waitlist via the Eventbrite booking page.

Can I get a refund?
You can request a refund outside 30 days of the event start date. To request a refund, go to Tickets in your Evenbrite account (go here if you've never logged in before), find your order, then select "Request a Refund." Please allow 7 days for a response and when issued, refunds can take up 7 business days to show on your account. No refunds if you are within 30 days of the event start date. Please keep this in mind when booking.

Can I transfer my registration to another event?
You can transfer your registration outside 7 days of the event start date. To transfer your registration go to the Tickets page of your Eventbrite account. Simply select your order/registration (under Upcoming Events), then click "Transfer." Sorry, no transfers for countries outside of Australia. No transfers if you are within 7 days of the event start date. Please keep this in mind when booking.

How many people attend the workshop?
This will depend on the studio size and the number of props available. As most workshops sell out and there is often an extensive waitlist I try to accommodate everyone while honouring the nature of the workshop. Generally, you can expect 15-25 people in the class. It’s important to remember these others are here for the same reason as you so there’s a beautiful sense of community in these workshops.

Do these attended workshop hours contribute towards Continuing Education hours?
Yes. If you're a Registered Yoga Teacher with Yoga Alliance then yes this workshop can contribute towards Yoga Alliance Continuing Education Requirements (YACER) as Emma Ceolin is a qualified Yoga Alliance Continuing Education Provider (YACEP). Please get in touch to request a certificate.

Are essential oils used in the workshop?
