This simple, easeful 2 hour Yoga For Anxiety Workshop will take you on a journey to soften back into yourself and explore yoga as a powerful tool to calm the nervous system. Kick back, relax, sip on your warm herbal tea, nibble on delicious chocolates, try soothing essential oils and experience how yoga can alleviate anxiety.

Expect science-based lectures to learn about the nervous system and yin yoga to release deeper into fascia (your secondary sensory organ). This stress-to-bliss workshop is perfect for a tired body and a busy mind.

You’ll also be gifted with further info like the Yoga for Anxiety eBook, apps, podcasts, recommended reading, blogs and online yoga classes to manage your anxiety in your own time. Take a deep, sweet breath back, feel your stress levels reduce and notice a refreshing feeling of wellbeing and inner peace. All levels welcome.

WHY DO THIS WORKSHOP

Anxiety is a condition that afflicts more of us than ever before. We live in a world where we're constantly tethered to technology, absorbing information at an unprecedented rate, chronically rest-deprived like never before and flooded with hormones that cause stress, anxiety and burnout. Over time, this can wreak havoc on our minds and bodies leaving us at risk of sleep disorders, high blood pressure, digestive disorders, obesity, autoimmune diseases, adrenal problems, depression and heart disease. But there's a range of strategies we can use to alleviate stress and anxiety and yoga is absolutely one of them.

WHEN TO ARRIVE

Please aim to arrive 10 minutes prior to the start time in order to check yourself in at reception and get yourself set up. Please also be mindful if you arrive too early, a workshop may still be finishing.

ABOUT THE TEACHER

Emma Ceolin is the founder of Yogaventures and The Anxiety Effect as well as an internationally accredited Yoga Teacher (ERYT®200, RYT®500, RPYT®, RCYT®, YACEP®, IAYT®) who shares yoga for health, healing and happiness. She's also a blogger, entrepreneur, social media influencer, skydiver, freediver, scuba diver, surfer and vegan. Emma has over 1000 hours of yoga teacher training and experience teaching classes, sold out workshops, retreats and teacher trainings all over the globe. Emma has taught this workshop over 50 times across Australian cities such as Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Perth, Adelaide, Canberra, Cairns as well as America, Europe and Asia. She shares her experience of growing up with anxiety, the stress that comes with this fast-paced modern lifestyle and how she manages day-to-day with practical and accessible yoga techniques. Emma first found yoga as a therapy for anxiety and depression and it set her on a wellness journey that changed her life forever. She's now made it her heart's purpose to share yoga for the mental, emotional and energetic benefits and specialises in yoga for stress, anxiety, depression and trauma. Her self-reflective teachings focus on how yoga feels, rather than how it looks. Who is this workshop for?
This workshop is for everyone, of all backgrounds, experiences, size and age. All yoga postures will be practised in a supportive, safe environment and suitable for absolute beginners. Please keep in mind this class is not individually tailored for special needs, pregnancies, pre-existing physical injuries, pain or concerns, and if present you should consult with your physician before commencing.

Is there an age limit for who can attend the Anxiety Workshop?
As anxiety begins to become present younger ages, this is a question we get asked a lot. If you are under 18 years of age you are welcome to attend however a parent/guardian must attend with you. We have had children attend from as young as 8 years old.

What if the event is sold out?
If the event is sold out please add yourself to the waitlist. Spots do open up and if there's enough interest there may be a possibility of a second workshop on the same day.

What's the refund policy?

We strive to maintain a balance between making these workshops accessible to everyone whilst running a sustainable, thriving business so that we can continue to create and share these beautiful experiences with you. As such refunds take place below. To be fair to other participants there are no exceptions whether your cancellation is due to anxiety, illness, injury, change of mind, change of financial circumstances or any other reason. Please keep this in mind when booking. To request a refund please email hello@emmaceolin.com with your date, time the of workshop. Once you have requested your refund via email, please allow 5 business days for a reply and an additional 5 business days for the refund to be processed.

+ Cancel 30 days or more before the event start date and time 75% of your payment will be refunded.
+ Cancel 7 days or more before event start date and time 50% of your payment will be refunded.
+ Cancel 48 hours or more before event start date and time 25% of your payment will be refunded.
+ Cancel within 48 hours of event start date and time no refund will be given.

Can I transfer my registration to another event?
If you register for an event unfortunately there’s no option to transfer to a future event. Please see above for refund and cancellation policy.

How many people attend the workshop?
This will vary depending on workshops. As most workshops sell out and there is often an extensive waitlist I try to accommodate everyone while honouring the nature of the workshop. Generally, you can expect 15-25 people. It’s important to remember these others are here for the same reason as you so there’s a beautiful sense of community in these workshops. If you would like to know the exact size of the workshop please get in touch.

Can I attend this workshop twice?
Yes. We often have students attending multiple times to reabsorb the information and simply come along for a wellness tune-up.

Do these attended workshop hours contribute towards Continuing Education hours?
Yes. If you're a Registered Yoga Teacher with Yoga Alliance then yes this workshop can contribute towards Yoga Alliance Continuing Education Requirements (YACER) as Emma Ceolin is a qualified Yoga Alliance Continuing Education Provider (YACEP).

Are essential oils used in the workshop?
Essential oils are used in this workshop. If you have any specific allergies please let us know.
