Description

One in four people now suffer from anxiety making it Australia's leading mental health problem. Anyone who suffers from anxiety knows how debilitating it can be. It can create feelings of limited control, low self esteem, frustration, panic, fear and defeat. Whether you’re feeling anxious, stressed, overwhelmed or conflicted, this simple, easeful 2 hour workshop will take us on a journey to soften back into ourselves again.

This workshop will begin with science, psychology and yoga philosophy defining anxiety. We'll then explore how anxiety presents in our lives and parts of the body where we tend to hold tension, fear and other negative emotion. With support of yoga props (bolsters, blankets, blocks) we'll move into grounding yoga poses, practices and techniques to help alleviate anxiety, calm the nervous system and rewire our stress response.

Expect asana (postures), pranayama (breathing), yoga nidra (relaxation), aromatherapy, and raw vegan treats. You’ll also be gifted with the Yoga for Anxiety eBook featuring poses, tips and techniques to practice in your own time. Leave this workshop feeling balanced and grounded with the tools you need to give the very best version of yourself to the world.

ABOUT THE TEACHER

Emma Ceolin is a highly sought after International Yoga Teacher based in Australia. She is 500 Hour Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT® 500), 200 Hour Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher Yoga Teacher (E-RYT® 200), Registered Prenatal Yoga Teacher (RPYT®), Registered Children's Yoga Teacher (RCYT®) and Yoga Alliance Continued Education Provider (YACEP®). Emma has over 1000 hours yoga teacher training and 1000 hours experience teaching an array of sold out workshops, retreats and teacher trainings. Emma grew up with Anxiety and Depression and found love through yoga (read My Story) so it's her mission to now share yoga as a path to health, healing and happiness. She is determined to empower her students from all walks of life to push past their boundaries, reach their goals and live a healthy, balanced lifestyle. Emma is a holistic yoga teacher and this reflects in her lifestyle off the mat. She is a nature lover, freediver, scubadiver, hiker, avid conservationist and vegan advocate. Emma draws from yoga training, life experience and university studies to teach beginner yoga, foundational yoga, gentle yoga, vinyasa, yin and specialises in yoga to treat Anxiety and Depression.

WHO THIS WORKSHOP IS FOR

This workshop is for everyone, of all backgrounds, experiences, size and age. All yoga postures will be practiced in a supportive, safe environment with variations offered to cater for absolute beginners to experienced yogis. In fact, 80% of participants for the Yoga for Anxiety Workshop are practicing yoga for the very first time. Please keep in mind this class is not individually tailored for special needs, pregnancies, pre-existing physical injuries, pain or concerns, and if present you should consult with your physician before commencing.
