32 hours of training to explore and grow through Yoga and Mindfulness for children. You will graduate as a certified Children's Yoga Teacher fully equipped with the tools needed to effectively and safely teach Yoga and Mindfulness to kids.

This is our LAST TRAINING for 2020!!!

Although designed for academic environment, our curriculum is easily adapted for use in a variety of settings, including yoga studios, at home, and in healthcare settings.

You will learn yoga techniques to promote children’s physical, mental, and emotional health. Emphasis is placed on learning how to read and relate to children through understanding child development, anatomy, physiology, and learning domains. From this transformational training, you will emerge with the ability to effectively design yoga classes to meet children’s varying needs whether they are at school, home, or a yoga class in their community.

Training days and times:

  • Held during October School Holidays (yay) daily from 8am - 4pm: Thursday - Sunday
  • Location: Sullivan Hall, Fremantle

Focus: Ages 3 to 12 / Kindy to Year 6 - Primary School & ECE

  • Certified by the Yoga Alliance
  • Registered with Yoga Australia for continued Education Points
  • Earn CEU's with your Peak Body (e.g. Healthcare for Paediatric Physiotherapists, etc.)

This program focuses on the evidence-based physical, mental, and emotional benefits yoga can provide for children.

Upon completion of this PRACTICAL training, you will be fully equipped with tools to help children and teens build a lifetime of health and wellness through the practice of yoga.

CEU + Standards

Professional Institute I is certified by the Yoga Alliance and meets National Standards for Physical Education. Upon completion of PI1, participants are eligible for Continuing Education Units (CEUs) for the Yoga Alliance, Yoga Australia, Child Life Council, and select school districts. Meets AITLS Professional Standards for Teachers: FA4.1, FA4.2, FA4.3, AITSL Charter for Professional Learning C1.3, C1.6, C3.1

What about children aged 13+

For Teenagers we offer a separate training, Professional Institute 2 (certified training to teach Yoga to Adolescents). This is purposely separated as lesson planning, yoga poses, anatomy and physiology of teenage bodies varies greatly from children's bodies. If you're interested in the Teenage training, there's good news! We run the Teens Training from 15-18 October at Sullivan Hall. With years of experience in the field of yoga education, our trainers are eager to share their knowledge and expertise with educators, yoga teachers, and parents in your community. Our Australian Trainings are facilitated by Regina Cruickshank, CEO of Yogazeit Ltd. Regina is passionate about wellbeing for youth and is the founder and Executive Director of a Fremantle based Not for Profit organisation focused on supporting Schools and Aged Care with evidence based Yoga and Mindfulness tools. A recent grant from the City of Fremantle allowed Regina and her team to provide two terms of Free Yoga and Mindfulness for Fremantle's Youth.

Regina is a mum of 3 Primary School aged kids and has introduced thousands of children gently and playfully to Yoga and Mindfulness. In her role at Yogazeit Ltd. she runs in-school programs and community classes in the Fremantle area.

She's an ocean lover and if not found stretching and breathing on the mat or on a chair, she can be seen exploring Australia's outback and underwater world.
