Event description

Description

A Sound scape of Gongs, singing bowls and more after a nourishing Yin class.

Become immersed in sound and find the meditative state of bliss.

I Am That Yoga presents our monthly Post Yin Sound Bath. Facilitating meditation whilst you listen deeply with your whole body - letting ideas and concepts from the Yin practice (happening before the sound meditaiton) move through you, as sounds wash over you. Tickets for just the Sound Bath are available but we highly recommend joining the Yin Yoga class before (6:45pm - 7:45pm - view different ticket options).

Join Mona Ruijs from Sound Interventions in a sound filled session of quartz crystal bowls, singing bowl, gongs and various other sound tools.

Not sure what to expect? We'll paint the picture for you...

Visit our Yoga studio: a relaxed, no-pressure-safe-space, where the only thing that truly matters is breath. Lie on a mat, and experience waves of sounds and the effects of their vibration for an hour. And. Just. Be. Let them bring you stillness, profound relaxation and a sense of time- and spacelessness.

You'll leave I Am That - Yoga feeling refreshed and relaxed.

What is a Sound Bath?

Sound immersions may transport a person to a state of self-healing. With alleged therapeutic effects, gongs are believed to be ‘useful for relieving mild-moderate anxiety, stress and pain on the physical, mental and emotional levels and used as a tool for deep relaxation and meditation.’

Sound baths are purported to produce positive physiological responses in a listener as it is believed that ‘sound vibrations act to clear channels of transport within the cell, facilitating the movement of energy across the cell membrane and making it easier for cells to receive nourishment.’

*Not recommended for pregnant women in their first trimester
