In Yin, we hold our poses for 3 - 5 minutes which allows us space to potently observe what is happening in our bodies. Where we are feeling openness and ease and where we are feeling blocked and resistant.
We have Chakras, or energy centres, through our whole body. The main 7 running from the base of the spine, up to the crown of the head. When these Chakras are clear and balanced they allow healing energy to move freely through the body.
This workshop will follow through a sequence of long, deep holds in poses focusing on each energy centre. Each pose will be held for 3 – 5 minutes and we will be practicing various breath and mindfulness techniques while listening to healing sound vibrations corresponding to each Chakra.
You will have the opportunity to learn about the chakras and yourself through either release or resistance in the body or mind/attitude during each pose.
