Do you feel tight in your body? To feel more flexible and comfortable in your body, we need to target the areas that are dense in connective tissue and fascia, which is much more difficult to relax than muscles. Yin yoga is mostly a floor based practice of long holds that targets these areas - legs, hips and back. The release from yin yoga is much deeper than other yoga or stretching and can enhance flexibility and relaxation creating a feeling of space within the body.
You will learn breath and mindfulness techniques to assist with the release and to soothe the nervous system. We will complete the practice with a guided relaxation ensuring you leave feeling deeply calmed and restored.
This is the perfect antidote for a busy, stressful life. You will have a deep sleep Monday nights after class, as verified by many of my students :)
