What are Partner Tickets?

These tickets are reserved for schools who are are presenting at YES, partner schools of the GWS Giants AFL, or schools nominated by our YES/Murama sponsors.

Do I need to come both days?

No, not unless you are a showcasing/presentingschool. Each event day is the same, you can come to one or the other and have the same experience. If you have large school groups by all means spread these over both days.

Are there age / Stage limitations for the event?

YES 2017 Primary is most suitable for Stage 2 & 3 Students. Stage 1 and Early Learning Groups are also very welcome, however the 2 x 30min workshop sessions are for Stages 2 & 3 only.

Can I register multiple classes?

Yes we encourage multiple classes and year groups. Note: Eventbrite will allow a maximim of 100 tickets to any one person so if you have over 100 students attending you will need another teacher from your school to register these additional students.

What are my transport/parking options for getting to and from the event?

Buses can set down on Olympic Boulevard adjacent to Cathy Freeman Park. Our Vistor Services staff will be there to help with disembarking. We are all about sustainability and encourage public transport where possible. The event is located just 2 minutes walk from Sydney Olympic Park Train Station. Time-limited and paid car parking is available nearby.

What should I bring into the event?

Recess & lunch (low waste please), hats, suncreen, refillable water bottles, writing/drawing material.

How do I book my class/es into workshops?

There will be 2 x 30min workshops you can book into. The workshop schedule will be released on 16th October 2017 at 12:00pm via a link emailed to your nominated contact address. Bookings (workshop choices) will be on a first come first served basis.

Do you have a risk assessment and photo/media permissions?

Yes - we will send you these within 1 week of your registration on Eventbrite along with a checklist for the event. There will be a form for identifying those students that need to be excluded from photos or media and we will provide coloured wristbands on the day. Please note that the event is covered by student video crews along with lots of teachers and providers posting social media. We can only guarantee media exclusions in the case of commisioned photoshoots. If you have particular safety concerns in this regard or wish to exclude whole classes please reconsider the suitability of this event.

Do I have to bring my printed/digital tickets to the event?

Yes - this will help us keep things organised and safe. Tickets will be checked at the bus drop off area or the Info Booth in Cathy Freeman Park on arrival. E-tickets on your phone are welcome and preferrable.
