Event description

Description

What will it take to continue advancing women in law over the next 100 years?

In 2018, we celebrated a significant milestone – 100 years of women practising law in NSW. In recognition of this, the Year 101 event series was born, where high profile leaders in the Australian legal industry gathered in Sydney to contribute to a forward-focused conversation around what the next 100 years for women in law may look like.

While the industry has seen significant change and movement, there are still opportunities to innovate and challenge traditional thinking. This journey continues as we look to the future from year 101.

At this inaugural event in Brisbane, we will bring together a panel of high profile leaders in the Australian legal industry to take part in a forward-focused conversation discussing the challenges, opportunities and their vision for the next 100 years. In particular, the panel will explore:

  • What do we expect from our industry and the next generation of leaders (both male and female) to ensure progression?
  • What needs to change to allow the next phase to progress in a constructive and considered way?
  • What are the systems, processes and structures that need to be established or reinvented over the next five years?
  • How will we hold ourselves accountable for leading this change?

$5 from every ticket sold will be donated to Women's Legal Service of Queensland.
