Event description
A small regional Australian town can't make a difference to the complex web of refugee issues ... or can it...

About this Event

Molly and Mobarak This beautiful, funny, heartfelt film will show us all a dose of hope and reality. Set in the town of Young, a Hazara refugee finds love, derogratory labels, Australian baking and the community finds division, warmth and confusion.

After the screening we will be joined by refugee women living in Canberra happy to share their story.

Being the closing night of the festival, there will be much festivity and the screening / reading of the placed entries in our Youth Creative Rights comp. The innagural competition is created by Tory and Sophie to showcase the talent of Yass Valley youth and encourage them to use their own creative medium (prose, writing, film) to tell a human rights story.

There have been costs involved in bringing this film to you, hence having a ticket price. Thank you for your support.

CHILDRENS and CONCESSION TICKETS avaialble at the door $7
