NOTE: We are currently not offering the COVID-19 vaccine through our community immunisation sessions. The influenza vaccine will be available in 2021 and this website will be updated as soon as stock arrives and bookings can commence.

Wellington Shire Council provides all infants, children, adolescents and adults working and residing within the municipality with a funded immunisation program in line with the National Immunisation Program Schedule. This includes all scheduled childhood immunisations up to the age of 20 years.

Influenza is currently offered to the following (between the months of April to December);

• Children from 6 months of age to less than 5 years of age

• Those that are at an increased risk from Influenza complications between the ages of 5 years and less than 65 years

• Pregnant women (can receive vaccine at any stage of the pregnancy)

• Adults aged 65 years and over (please note Wellington Shire Council currently has the Fluad Over 65 Vaccine in stock)

If you do not fit into the above categories, the Influenza Vaccine is available for purchase at Community Immunisation Sessions. The cost of the vaccine is $30.00 per dose. This is payable on the day via EFTPOS only. Appointments are essential for all immunisations.

Please Note: Wellington Shire Council does not administer the Government Funded Zostavax (shingles) vaccine. If you require this vaccination please make an appointment with your local General Practitioner.
