Our Aim

With this project, we aim to encourage understanding between diverse groups and inspire acts of compassion and kindness towards individuals in the community. YAG have narrowed our focus to a range of issues that we are passionate about. These include:

· Gender Equality

· Race and Culture

· Homelessness

· Indigenous Rights

· Mental Health

· LGBTIQ+ Rights

What is the Compassion and Equality Video?

On the 21st September we held a Compassion Booth so that people had a safe space to exchange their experiences, thoughts and ideas about inequality. Some people chose to share their stories on video. For the Night of Kindness event, YAG will be screening a video featuring diverse individual’s lived experiences of how inequality has affected their lives. The video gives a unique insight into ways we can all promote equality and spread compassion in society.

On the Night

Along with the video we will feature a panel of young people with lived experience who will be discussing inequality, stigma and how compassion can address some of the issues they’ve faced. There will then be time for a Q and A with the audience. Throughout the night there will be free snacks and

(non-alcoholic) drinks provided, and fun activities for everyone to enjoy.

It would be fantastic if you would be able to come along and engage in this conversation with us. We aspire to create a sense of unity within our community, by effecting positive change in the realm of inequality, and would love for you to be a part of this movement!
