Y12 3U Maths: Mastering Mathematical Induction & Motion
Event Information
Description
Struggled in Term 1 with getting your head around Mathematical Induction, and Simple Harmonic and Projectile Motion in the Year 12 3U Maths course?
In this HSC Mastery Holiday Workshop, we're going to help you master Mathematical Induction and Motion for the Year 12 3U Maths!
In this 3 workshop during the school holidays on Monday 15th April from 1pm-4pm, we're going to help you:
- Apply Mathematical Induction to divisibility and other miscellaneous problems.
- Master applying graphs and equations for Simple Harmonic motion and Projectile Motion problems.
- Apply Mathematical Induction and Motion to practise HSC-style questions
Why is it important to master this now?
Induction and Motion are considered 2 of the harder and most time-consuming topics in 3U maths. However, if you master the application of these topics, you are guaranteed an easy 12 marks in your HSC exams.
Being a common topic in HSC Trials, motion tests prior knowledge of differentiation and integration, so it's critical to learn to apply these in the appropriate context for exam style questions.
The Key Outcomes
- Master the third step of mathematical induction proofs.
- Apply the basic layout to induction proofs on divisibility and other miscellaneous problems
- Apply the sine and cosine functions to determine the equation of Simple Harmonic movement
- Apply integration and differentiation knowledge to Projectile Motion in exam style questions
- Practise with exam questions and familiarise yourself with the types of questions that can be asked
What’s included?
- 3-hour workshop run by an incredible teacher!
- Small personalised class - so you're not one of 100 students in a big lecture room. We cap the sessions at 15 students maximum :)
- Lesson notes and practice questions to help you master Y12 3U Maths
Investment: $120 for 3 hours of support
Date: Monday 15th April
Time: 1-4pm
