Event Information
Description
In this Year 11 Kickstarter Workshop, we’re going to help you master key challenging areas from Year 10 and get a headstart on the Year 11 Prelim HSC syllabus!
In this 2.5 hour workshop during the school holidays on Monday 13th or Monday 20th January, our Head of Science Adrian will help you:
- Review and Master the atomic structure
- Build a strong understanding of Ionic nomenclature and solubility rules
- Develop an understanding of periodicity trends and modes of bonding
Why is it important to master this now?
These are the concepts that sit in the engine room of all the incoming Chemistry for your Prelim HSC. Don’t go into Year 11 with gaps in your understanding – it’s going to make the Prelim HSC course a lot more challenging. This workshop therefore will help you build a strong foundation so you can excel in your HSC, while also getting you started on the Year 11 material so you’re ready to hit the ground running next term!
What’s included?
- 2.5 hour workshop run by an incredible teacher!
- Small personalised class – so you’re not one of 100 students in a big lecture room. We cap the sessions at 12 students maximum
- Lesson notes and practice questions to help you master Year 11 Chemistry and master Module 1 for Year 11.
- + as a BONUS you receive free attendance in Week 1 and 2 of Term 1 at Art of Smart’s weekly Y11 Prelim Chemistry classes! (valued at $200)
