Event description

Description

Find that you just can’t get a hold of writing sophisticated essays? Need some extra help learning arguably the most important HSC English skill set?

In this Year 11 Prelim HSC Holiday Workshop, we’re going to help you master Essay Writing for the new HSC English Syllabus!

This workshop will be delivered in a live, interactive online format with an experienced teacher.

In this 2.5 hour workshop during the school holidays on Friday 17th April from 9.30am-12pm we’re going to help you:

  • Write a Band 6 HSC English Essay for Year 11 and 12
  • Craft a compelling thesis statement
  • Identify key ideas to explore in your essay
  • Write a clear, succinct introduction
  • Construct relevant, insightful analysis of your texts
  • Craft topic and linking sentences
  • Round out your essay with a clear conclusion

Why is it important to master this now?

With the new HSC syllabus changing assessment types, it means memorising essays for assessments will no longer work.

Instead, students need to be building up their writing skills and this takes time! So the best time to work on this is in Year 11 before things count!

What’s included?

  • 2.5-hour workshop run by an experienced HSC English teacher!

  • Small personalised class – so you’re not one of 100 students in a big lecture room. We cap the session at 15 students maximum

  • A resource booklet that guides you through how to craft Band 6 essays

How can I attend and what is the cost?

Seats are strictly limited to 15 spots, so book your place in our class today!

Investment: $99 (incl GST) for 2.5 hour workshop
Date: Friday 17th April
Time: 1.00pm-3.30pm

Covid 19 Update:

Due to ongoing concerns around COVID-19, this workshop will be delivered digitally via an online web conferencing platform and online whiteboard to ensure students and families can stay safe and healthy.
