WSU Living Labs Workshop 2 - confirm your attendance
Event Information
Description
Confirm your attendance at Workshop 2 of the WSU Intergenerational Living Lab Foundation Project.
The next 25 years will bring rapid and significant global technological, economic and social change to Greater Western Sydney, the fastest-growing, most diverse community in Australia. Its 350,000 young people will face many housing, work, and community challenges. Western Sydney University and Google (Australia) are developing the Intergenerational Living Lab Foundation project to respond to those significant challenges.
Cooperative solutions will be the key to our success. The Living Lab will involve young people, researchers, entrepreneurs, policy makers, designers, and industry collaborating together in a series of workshops to research and develop innovative strategies, products, and services to enhance young people's resilience and wellbeing.
Participants in our first workshop identified five key themes affecting the resilience of young people and their communities in GWS:
-
Intergenerational Relations & Transitions
-
Mental Health & Wellbeing
-
Place & Perceptions of GWS
-
Sustainability & Climate Change
-
Youth Participation & Engagement
In this second, hands-on workshop we will:
-
Do a 360 degree assessment of specific themes and issues relate to resilience and wellbeing in GWS
-
Assess the importance of these issues for resilience and wellbeing, and priorities for action
-
And learn about some tools for co-research and co-design
If you’re under 30 and unsalaried we’ll provide you with an honorarium for your time, and of course everyone gets a delicious free lunch!
