Children attending this program must be aged 14 to 16 due to the content and level of skills required

Tickets for school holiday programs will go on sale on September 9th

Do you want to write and also have a great time? You’ve probably got some really good ideas and things you want to say but  might need to find the right form and shape for those ideas. Try ‘Get Writing’ with Harry Laing and you can enjoy experimenting with rap, rhyme, riddles, chants, stories and more. Harry Laing is a well-known children’s author and comic performer. His most recent book for kids is Shoctopus. He has also written two books of poems for adults and performed 8 of his own solo shows.

Bookings essential

Please note:

  • We are unable to accommodate participants who have not made a booking.
  • Please contact the library if you wish to amend or cancel your booking. This will enable others to participate in the program. 
  • Age ranges apply. The age limit is necessary and made due to required skill level / coordination for the activity.
  • Adult supervision is required for all children attending the program.
  • Please arrive 10 mins early to allow time to check in; this assists the program to run on schedule.
