About this Event
WRITING, REVISING, REFINING
Revising is key to every step of writing. What strategies might help us reconsider, rearrange, refine, and further polish an existing draft?
This workshop addresses the challenges of revising at multiple levels, whether clarifying an aim, articulating an argument in relation to a structure, considering the rhythms of paragraphs and punctuation, or choosing the right words.
Led by Kirin Narayan in conjunction with Katerina Teaiwa and Shameem Black, the workshop will feature a sequence of short writing exercises, group discussions, and time to revise an existing draft.
WHAT TO BRING: A piece of writing (about 3000-4000 words) to revise, both printed out and on a laptop. Also, please bring paper and a favorite pen or pencil to write by hand
LIMITED SEATING. Advance registration is required
