Description

Writing Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) Plans - A Practical Workshop for PBS Practitioners

Overview

This training provides practitioners with the opportunity to learn about how we present person-centred PBS plans to ensure information is comprehensive, professional and respectful, and accessible to key stakeholders. We will look at some existing plan templates and clinical models, and consider their advantages and disadvantages. We will consider the 'fit' between recommended strategies and support plan construction, in efforts to promote best possible outcomes for the individual being supported.

The presenters have extensive clinical experience working in both educational and community settings

Assumed background knowledge and experience of attendees

It is expected that those attending this training have a comprehensive background in PBS (including relevant qualifications or multi-day training in behaviour support intervention), including the assessment process and the implementation of evidence-based practices.

Training duration and modalities

This workshop offers 3 hours CPD, and includes afternoon tea.

It will include interactive dialogue with both presenters, examples of NDIS support plan templates, examples of clinical plans, and active learning tasks.

A copy of overheads will be made available on the day.
