Event description

Description

Have you ever wanted to write about something that’s happened to you? Or you’ve been told some of your life experiences would make a good story? At this writing workshop, you’ll learn tips and exercises to write a compelling story – whether it’s about you, your family or friends, the year you’re having, or events that happened years ago. Your real life - and most of us have messy, imperfect lives - can be a rich source of material for a story. Come and make a start on the memoir, personal essay or creative non-fiction piece you’ve been itching to write.

Taught by Anne So, Carss Park Artist in Residence, 2019. Anne has been awarded a Varuna Writing Fellowship (2017), selected for the Hardcopy Professional Development Program for Emerging Writers (2017), and won a 2018 mentorship with the Australian Society of Authors to develop her book-length manuscript.
