Writing documents that readers will want to read
Wed. 9 November 2016, 9:00 am – 12:30 pm AEST
The Writing Circle is a writing training program specifically designed for people who write as part of their job, but who do not consider themselves to be professional writers. Any workplace writing is relevant.
Our programs are designed to help you improve your writing skills and build your writing confidence. Through a combination of writing activities, brainstorming, and group discussion, you’ll learn to think about writing from the perspective of readers.
The Writing Circle is not a course in grammar. Instead, it focuses on successful strategies for writing documents that make sense to readers, appeal to busy readers, and successfully communicate a clear message.
We acknowledge that our participants are highly literate, competent, and busy. Our programs are built around real examples of documents that illustrate key concepts about communication and writing ─ including emails, letters, reports, websites, and brochures.
This workshop focuses on top techniques for improving workplace writing. You will learn to focus on readers, beat writers’ block, structure ideas, and question the success of your documents.
