Description

Come and celebrate World Water Day with us at Field of Mars. You will get the opportunity to listen to a range of talks that show how vital a healthy waterway is to supporting biodiversity. Talk to a turtle and get up close to ellie the eel!

Presentation and Live display from Turtle Rescue NSW and Dr Jacinta Green with Eels

Dr Jacinta Green, The Parramatta River Riverkeeper will be joining us with her pet Eel, Ellie. Eels have a fascinating life history and are one of the most unique and important creatures in our river systems. Dr Green guarantees that by the end of her talk, you will be lining up to have a pet of these remarkable catadromous animals.

Shane Davies will tell you about his love of turtles and how he and a group of dedicated volunteers former Turtle Rescue NSW. You will even get a chance to get up close to some of the Eastern Long Necked Turtles Shane has rescued.
