Event description

Description

Each semester, students from across the University of Melbourne learn to perform traditional and contemporary music from around the world. This evening, Christopher Lesser directs the African Music and Dance Ensemble, a traditional West African group of over 40 musicians, in performing the traditional music of Ghana, Nigeria, and Guinea. Adam Simmons then leads a choir of nearly 50 shakuhachi students in performing traditional and contemporary Japanese flute pieces.

We strongly encourage advanced booking for all of our events. This guarantees your seat, and allows us to communicate any unforseen event scheduling changes with you.
