About this event
To celebrate World Environment Day in 2022, we invite the community to help Brimbank City Council in partnership with the Friends of Kororoit Creek, to extend habitat for local wildlife along Kororoit Creek at The Stepping Stones in Sunshine West.
Join us for a morning of planting and activities for the whole family, concluding with a vegetarian BBQ. All activities and BBQ are free of charge.

Indigenous shrubs, groundcovers and wildflowers planting activity as a part of the Restoring Woodlands project. Help us to plant nearly 1500 indigenous species along the Kororoit Creek, restoring vegetation and habitat for local birds, insects and reptiles.
Get your creativity going during a clay workshop with artist, Ursula Dutkiewicz. Create your own clay heart filled with love for the Environment which will be added to a collaborative community Wind Chime for Peace. The hearts filled with messages of love for our environment and peace for the world will be dried, kiln fired and returned to the Stepping Stones at the Creek during the week of International Day of Peace on 21st September.
Kids can get their faces painted with a native Australian animal theme from the talented crew at Sunny Faces.
Enjoy a delicious vegetarian barbecue provided free of charge for all participants.
