WORKSHOP 1 - Falling in love with the problem
Wednesday 3 April 2019

You have an idea that you’d love to make a reality.
It’s a great idea and you’re sure people are going to love it A LOT.

But what if you’re wrong? What if it’s not what they need or they’ve already solved that problem? What if the real problem to be solved is something you missed?

Getting it wrong is costly in time, money and personal confidence.

Fortunately, Design Thinking de-risks the innovation process from the get-go by focusing on the problem not the solution. During this workshop, gut instinct, assumptions, and ‘I think’ declarations are put to one side and curiosity tools such as empathy mapping, customer-journey mapping, surveys and interviews are brought in.

Learn how to drill down to understand your user’s genuine needs in order to define the real problem to be solved. Then using this insight, engage in some fast, furious and inspirational creativity tools to generate powerful ideas that will truly add value to your user.

WORKSHOP 2 - Getting Hands On and Developing your Idea
Wednesday 15 May 2019

You’ve come up with your idea, but what do you do with it now.

In this fast-paced and fun workshop, you’ll learn how to build low-fidelity prototypes using nothing but simple everyday objects, bust assumptions using simple testing techniques and iteratively get your idea closer to a final proof of concept.

You’ll also learn how to gain buy-in and investment for your idea, using powerful storytelling methods and visual tools.

Venue: PathHunting - 421 Lygon Street Brunswick East
Time: 5.30pm - 9.30pm
