About this Event
In nature photography, timing, patience, creativity and technique must combine to capture an award-winning shot. Be inspired by the 2020 Australian Geographic Nature Photographer of the Year exhibition and learn the tricks of the trade from an experienced photographer and educator.
Discover how to unlock your camera’s potential with simple but creative shooting techniques and get the most out of your equipment through clear instruction in camera modes, aperture, ISO and shutter speed. Then harness your newfound knowledge in an hour’s shoot of live subjects including birds, lizards, frogs, possums, a snake and crocodile, as well as unique taxidermy and fossil specimens from the Museum’s world-renowned collections. Choose your favourite shot to take home as a professionally printed A4 inkjet image.
Limited capacity of 15 people per workshop – book early to avoid disappointment!

Ages: 13+
Cost: $95 Members, $120 General Audiences
Inclusions: Exhibition viewing, workshop tutorial, live animal photography session
