Workshop: Who owns your data?
Event Information
About this Event
INTRO
In a world where our Personal Data is at the forefront of our digital experience - whether it is communicating with loved ones online or connecting with digital services or consuming digital goods - we leak our Personal Data on a momentarily basis. Businesses have been accumulating this data to create faster, cost-effective and personalised services.
However, when in the wrong hands these data pools can be used for crimes such as identity theft, to cause both financial and emotional harm to consumers. As consumers become more aware of this reality and businesses become more aware of their obligation to protect this data from bad actors, an important question must be answered, "Who Owns My Data?"
We'll open up this question on the 4th December at FinTech Headquarter, Frankfurt. Come join us in the first workshop of our legal-tech event series "Digital Identities, Big Data and Emerging Technologies", where we will dive into the murky world of Data Ethics and the legal considerations of Data Ownership. We look forward to engaging with you!
AGENDA
The workshop will be split into two parts:
The first where we tackle the current murky world of Data Ethics.
And the second where we discuss the topic of data ownership and the potential Intellectual Property considerations.
We believe that the importance of user-centric Digital Identities will increase as we develop in the Information Age, and the aim of these workshops is to open a forum for some of the pressing legal-tech issues.
