Description

First of our workshop series in 2018 exclusive for the members of Melbourne Lean In Chpater and Circle :

(You need to be a member of Melbourne Chapter or Melbourne Lean In Circle to attend this workshop. )

In any emergency where first aid is required, people rely upon the ABC of First-Aid. It’s automatically recalled; it’s wisely structured and provides an appropriate response to deliver desired outcomes.

What if there was an ABC you could call upon in each of those unexpected or impending and feared negotiation situations you have to face? What if you could draw upon a learned response framework that:

1) saved you from negotiating an arrangement that you should not have accepted or

2) missing out on one you should have embraced?

We are almost always negotiating and all too often negotiating without being consciously aware that we are in a negotiation. Having a framework that you can draw upon will help you deal with those critical situations where you often leave thinking, “why did I agree to that?”.

This session will offer you a recallable, smart ABC framework of negotiation. You will learn 3 distinctions that form the cornerstone of each negotiation and then apply these distinctions in exercises to start building awareness and capability.

Don’t miss out! This could be a session that makes the biggest difference to your year and even beyond.

Workshop Facilitator :

Peter Singer (Negotiation Adviser | Mediator | Facilitator)

Peter Singer is a negotiation adviser to CEOs, Family Businesses and a commercial mediator for numerous government panels and legal firms. He has experience negotiating and mediating in a diverse range of industries, handling impasses, directing negotiations and defusing disputes. Peter is also a lecturer, tutor and coach, to Resolution Institute's national mediation training organisation, and universities, guiding legal professionals in their Dispute Resolution learning. Peter ran a national IT Professional services business (with his 2 brothers) employing over 100 staff and 300 sub-contractors. After selling this business, Peter reflected that he did not handle conflict or negotiations as best as he could. He went on to study a Masters in Conflict Resolution and developed a new business in this area.
