Event description
What can you do on your small property to help improve waterway health? Every bit counts!

About this Event

If you manage a small (2-20Ha) property in the Emigrant Creek catchment area and want to improve the way you manage the land, come along to our workshop on Sunday 10th November 2019.

Research has shown soil type, land use and management practices, all contribute to the current health of the Richmond River and its catchments. This area has a number of projects underway to improve water quality by managing run off from roads and farms, and improving riparian zone vegetation health. We want to make sure your smaller properties don’t get left behind.

The workshop will include:

  • Talks on soil management, riparian health, weed management and other tips for managing your small property
  • Walk and talk to look at a riparian restoration project (onsite)
  • Opportunity to sign up for a free assessment of your property by Richmond Landcare Inc. including how to improve land management through habitat enhancement, biosecurity, vegetation management, nutrient runoff, and other NRM advice (limited spots available, priority given to riparian properties)
