Shared Christian Praxis is an engaging way to teach a Sunday School lesson. It starts with the students at the centre reflecting on their lives and ends with a decision for a lived response to the lesson. This approach can be used with virtually any topic including :social, theological, biblical and spiritual topics
Join us on the 18th of March for our second workshop on teaching a Sunday School lesson. If you missed part one, you can access is it online here. This workshop will start with a short talk on what Religious Education is all about -emphasising that Religious Education is much more than teaching. Following morning tea, we will begin exploring teaching a lesson using Shared Christian Praxis.
Shared Christian Praxis is a teaching approach developed by Dr Thomas Groome, one of the most renowned Christian Religious Education Academics. During this workshop you will learn how to develop a lesson using this approach and you will have some time to practice developing some lessons and receive feedback from other Sunday School teachers on your lessons. This approach has been used by many teachers with great success.
Lunch will be provided for a $5 donation.
