Event description

Description

This session will be run as a demonstration by Franke Ponte from the RMIT Library.

Reading Lists (Leganto) are an interactive and collaborative way of managing course readings.

Instructors/teachers can:

  • create structured, annotated reading lists

  • generate analytics and reports to gain insight into the materials that students use

  • keep lists up to date from year to year in an easy manner.

Students can:

  • collaborate and share views, feedback, and questions with classmates and instructors
  • discover new materials from peers’ suggestions and automated content recommendations
  • gather resources into a personal repository directly from discovery systems, scholarly sources, publishers’ sites, online bookstores and other websites.

Feel free to bring your own device to go along with the demonstration.

The session will cover the following:

  1. Turning Reading Lists on in your course
  2. Creating a reading list
  3. Associating a reading list with your course
  4. Building your reading list
  5. Managing reading list collaborators
  6. Submitting your reading list to the Library for publication
