Workshop Description

Join us for a 1.5 hour (90-minute) hands-on workshop for absolute beginners of any age.

Have fun building your new mBot Coding Robot from scratch before learning how to use block code to bring it to life. Next it’s time for your little mBot to venture out on its own. Can your mBot complete a challenge without your help?

You will use a hand tool and tablet to create an interactive robot that gives you instant feedback on your new skills based on its behaviour.

The price includes the workshop session and a workshop bag filled with everything you need to build the project. You’ll get to take home your mBot at the end to continue learning through play.

You Will Learn

• To prepare your workbench for the project

• About the materials you’ll be using and their purpose

• To build an mBot robot

• To make mBot move using block coding

• To program mBot to complete an interactive challenge on its own

What to Bring

• Your interest to learn and join in the fun

• Kids under the age of 16 years require an adult over 18 years to remain with them throughout the workshop. The supervising adult doesn’t require a ticket but we welcome all ages to join in so why not grab a ticket too!

COVID Guidelines/procedures

• We are restricting tickets to each workshop to allow for social distancing and will supply hand sanitiser to use on arrival and departure.

• Please do not attend the workshop if: you feel unwell, have symptoms of COVID 19, have been in close contact with anyone diagnosed with COVID 19, or have returned from overseas travel within the past 14 days.
