WorkSafe and RiskCover Forum - Creating and maintaining psychologically hea...
Tue. 15 November 2016, 9:00 am – 12:30 pm AWST
A psychologically healthy and safe workplace is one that promotes employees’ psychological well-being and proactively endeavours to prevent harm to psychological health. Considerable research demonstrates that certain work-related factors impact upon employees’ responses to work and work conditions creating a risk of work-related stress and potentially causing health problems and injuries.
Workplaces that address psychological risk factors and create a psychologically healthy and safe workplace will have healthier, happier employees, and are likely to benefit in terms of performance, productivity, client satisfaction and retention of employees.
Join us to hear how WA public sector agencies have implemented safe systems of work and risk management approaches to psychological health in the workplace. The forum will involve case study presentations from guest speakers. WorkSafe WA will present the results of the work-related stress project 2015/16 and RiskCover will present an overview of claims statistics.
