Workplace Wellbeing & Engagement: Trends & best practices you can’t afford to ignore

Leadership teams are increasingly recognising the importance that wellbeing plays in engaging employees and cultivating strong workplace cultures that drives business performance. We bring together inspirational speakers, industry influencers and HR leaders to explore:

9am CASE STUDY - HOW TO DELIVER A SUCCESSFUL WELLBEING PILOT

Adjunct Professor Tanya Farrell, Executive Director of Nursing and Midwifery at Royal Women’s Hospital

This session explores the importance of being highly strategic about health and wellbeing, so you can deliver the best possible outcomes for your people and your organisation.

This year, over 2,500 Victorian nurses and midwives across five sites were invited to take part in Happy People - a ground breaking industry-first pilot program aimed at improving their mental, physical and emotional wellbeing.  For a workplace resilience program to succeed on this scale, not only did it need to be well designed and delivered, it needed buy-in from people at every level: from the Minister and the Department to frontline employees.

Adjunct Professor Tanya Farrell, one of the driving forces behind the Happy People initiative, will discuss her firsthand experiences of the barriers and challenges they overcame to roll out the program, and the strategy behind the high engagement and results.

9.25am CRITICAL SUCCESS FACTORS FOR HIGH ENGAGEMENT

Panel discussion featuring:

Adjunct Professor Tanya Farrell, Executive Director, The Women’s

Carmen Barry, Theatre Nurse and Happy People Project Coordinator, The Women’s

Sharon Richens, Physiotherapist and HBAW Business Partner

9.40am CULTIVATING PARTNERSHIPS TO CREATE A THRIVING WELLBEING CULTURE

Nadia Jefferys, HR Manager, ANZ Markets and Troy Morgan, Director of Wellbeing Strategy at Springday & HBAW Business Partner

ANZ Markets recognises that people lie at the heart of its success – and that creating a culture where employee wellbeing can flourish is critical for driving engagement, productivity, and business performance. But how do you engage employees in wellbeing programs they haven’t asked for?

During this interactive Q&A session, Nadia and Troy will provide you with an insider view on how ANZ markets is cultivating strategic partnerships to successfully embed wellbeing throughout the organisation, both in Australia and internationally, to build an authentic culture of care.

10am DEVELOPING THE STRATEGY FOR BEST PRACTICE WELLBEING ENGAGEMENT

Anna-Louise Bouvier, Creator and Executive Director of ABC Commercial’s award winning HBAW programs

Does your organisation need to be more strategic about workplace wellbeing? This session will provide you with a framework to help you design, evaluate, and create a strategic plan that drives wellbeing engagement and delivers positive results for employees and business performance.

Using practical case studies and post doctoral research from rollouts to over 30,000 employees from 80 private and public sector organisations, Anna-Louise will explore a range of wellbeing interventions from traditional keynotes, to the latest innovations in digital wellbeing.  You will leave this session with actionable insights to enhance the employee experience, and a framework to take your wellbeing strategy to the next level.
