Event description

Description

This session is part of the 'Working with the Community to Prevent Violence against Women' training series, funded through the Building a Respectful Community Partnership Project.

The training series includes three sessions that aim to increase the capacity of participants to undertake community-based projects for the primary prevention of violence against women.

The three sessions are:

  1. Establishing a community-based project to prevent violence against women (see below)

  2. Tailoring preventing violence against women practice to community settings (22 March)

  3. Developing content for a community-based preventing violence against women project (11 April)

This training is open to staff from organisations in the Building a Respectful Community Partnership and NMR PVAW Committee associate members (limited to two people per organisation). A foundational understanding of preventing violence against women is required (or attendance at the ‘Introduction to the Prevention of Violence against Women’ session offered on 21st February). Participants must be familiar with Change the Story and the gendered drivers of violence.

Each event requires a separate registration. It is not required to attend all three sessions, however, they are planned as a sequence that builds on previous sessions.
