Event description

Description

This CPD workshop provides a theoretical understanding of the impacts of suicide bereavement and develops skills in working experientially with grief, using art activities and relaxation. We use a strengths-based approach to reduce stigma and isolation with individuals, families and groups. Pre-reading and art supplies are included. Participants will receive a Grief Journeys membership certificate. We also provide a Grief Journeys Facilitator Accreditation pathway.

The workshop facilitators are Ione Lewis and Denise Lavell.

Dr Ione Lewis, PhD is a psychotherapist and clinical member of PACFA, a social worker (MAASW), and artist, with over thirty years’ experience in helping individuals and families. Denise Lavell MA Couns, TAE Workplace Assessor & Trainer has a passion for leading groups that support people to grow and heal.
